MP3s that appear on this page are available for a limited amount of time; they are posted for illustrative or promotional purposes.  Everyone is encouraged to support the artists and buy their work.  If you are an artist or artist's representative and object to having the music posted, please contact me at the above e-mail address.

PR Reps/Labels/Bands:  At this time, I am not accepting any free product.  If I like an album, I'll buy it.  (Who would I be to recommend a CD I haven't bought myself?)  Links to album streams, MP3s, or myspace pages can be sent to the e-mail address above - though frankly I pay little attention to press releases and their ilk. Sorry.

Wherever You Go, There You Suck

posted 08/28/2009

How brave am I?  I weathered the entire video above, watched the twee fragile white girl artiste talk of travels among "mysterious," "miserable, dirty" people and how she and her producer "take for granted that everyone knows what they're doing" but then learned you have to "lower your expectations."  It can be so hard to impose your will on other cultures from within, instead of reacting to and learning from them!  So hard!  Victoria Bergsman, you are to be commended for diluting something vibrant and social into something soft and contrived!

National Fucking Geographic.

The waterboarding solo in "Watch the Waves" is awesome.  The Animal Collective cover is cute.

While I go shower in my own vomit, please enjoy Tod A's t-shirt:

Taken by Trees - Watch the Waves (mp3)(preorder)(myspace)

Firewater - Some Kind of Kindness (mp3)(buy)(myspace)(previously)
