I Am More Easily Irritated Than Outraged

posted 03/11/2008

What bugs me most about this Spitzer thing isn't the hypocrisy, or the instantaneous governmental gridlock, or the lurid, stupid, media coverage (Photos of an empty hotel room!  Video of computer monitors showing photos of an empty hotel room!), or the endless parade of tired sex scandal jokes (scroll down), or that this will give Middle America another reason to dismiss New Yorkers as Godless immoral evildoers and that this will work its way into the presidential race in a bad way, or that I voted for the guy, or that hey I could really use $4300 right now Eliot (and I voted for you, did "Kristen?"), or that no one has found a sufficiently hot picture of "Kristen" (and really, if there's one time you want to risk a pregnancy, wouldn't it be when you're with an easily blackmailed whoremongering ethics reform posterboy?) yet.

No, what bugs me most is that someone's cell phone started audibly vibrating during that 20-second press conference, and that the news programs will rerun that clip a billion times over the next forever, and that every time they do my hand will go to my belt.

And Hey Democrats:  Where's our blind female African-American presidential candidate, huh?  Don't you feel it's time?
