Put Up Your Dukes

posted 08/03/2005

Scary, no?  I suppose there’s no way to block this nomination, and no hope that Johnny boy will turn into a lovely lil’ pinko commie when he gets to ride that big bad bench.  Looks like he’s a calculating, steadfast little soldier who’d stick by a ruling that the sun sets in the East despite a whole universe of contrary evidence.

For once, I would like Bush to just not get his way.  How ever is the boy going to learn that being rich and powerful just isn’t enough?  When is something going to come back and bite him – him, not 1800 other people – in the ass?  How can you go and circumvent the Senate to put someone who knowingly lied to Congress in an important international post and still sleep soundly for, oh, record amounts of time?  Spoiled brat.

I keep wishing that, as long as W’s going to do stupid stuff, he’d at least do fun stupid stuff.  Like nominating a whole ‘nother Bolton.

Funny? What's funny? When we're willing to prosecute a baseball player for lying to Congress, but not our U.N. Ambassador?

It's downright hilarious. If you live in some other country, that is.
