Tang for the Memories

posted 06/07/2008

"There are no acceptable limits and there are no acceptable prejudices in the 21st century."

Well put, Hill.  Here's hoping John McCain has similarly wonderful stuff scattered throughout his concession speech.

But this line...  "If we could blast fifty women into space, we will someday launch a woman into the White House."  Um, *splat*?  Not exactly the visual you want to promote... unless you're promoting Wipeout, ABC's Made-in-the-USA retooling of the awesomely awesome Japanese masochism exhibition Most Extreme Elimination ChallengeWipeout, coming June 24th!

(Also, I think the line would have sounded better had "If we could blast fifty women into space" been followed by "Why not all of ‘em?"  But that would be a whole ‘nother reality program.  Plus, yeah, misogyny is so 20th century.)
