Coney Island Mermaid Parade, 2006.  Links at the bottom to additional pages of pics.


A gray, drizzly day, but the downpour that hit other parts of Brooklyn avoided Coney Island.  I was half-hoping for shots of running make-up (and people)... but everyone was having so much fun I’m glad it never y’know’d on their y’know.






Turnout – both along the route and in the parade itself – might have been a little low.  Photographers, though, came out in full force...
