Wait and See (Blues Traveler, Rothko)

posted 04/21/2006

Text coming.  Set list is here.

While I get my ass in gear (show let out after 3am, this morning), enjoy yourselves a good, bouncy Friday song from their first album:

Blues Traveler – But Anyway (mp3) (buy)

Warning:  It will be stuck in your head for, like, sixteen years.

[Just a quick note for those who followed Vegan’s link:  I was there past the end of the show, and didn’t witness anything irregular.  The club was full at the start, less so at the end, but never packed.  There was that certain smell in the air at times and a band break during which, with his back to the audience, frontman John Popper enjoyed something smokable before handing it off to guitarist Chan Kinchla.  Some girl passed out up front, apparently drunk, before the show even started; a few audience members helped carry her to the back.  But – unless it’s because the band was still playing at 3am – I didn’t see anything that would explain the Rothko shut-down.

And yes, Daniel, I’m still working on the entry.  Shocking.]

I know, I've been horrible, I apologize. Too many concerts, lately.
