MP3s that appear on this page are available for a limited amount of time; they are posted for illustrative or promotional purposes.  Everyone is encouraged to support the artists and buy their work.  If you are an artist or artist's representative and object to having the music posted, please contact me at the above e-mail address.

PR Reps/Labels/Bands:  At this time, I am not accepting any free product.  If I like an album, I'll buy it.  (Who would I be to recommend a CD I haven't bought myself?)  Links to album streams, MP3s, or myspace pages can be sent to the e-mail address above - though frankly I pay little attention to press releases and their ilk. Sorry.

“We need bullshit, precisely to expose it as such—or maybe I'm just being defensive.”- Nick Sylvester 4/15/2005

How predictable (funny, even) that the insincerity in Sylvester’s writer’s voice would make its way into other parts of his work.  Apparently this is nothing new.  Apologies and retractions aside, shouldn’t he have been suspended long ago for unreadableilitynessitude (or would that be post-unreadableilitynessitude)?  (Though I confess to rather enjoying the Harvard boy’s article about being homeless.  Had that ring of truth to it, y’know?)

More lies:  Billy Corgan’s Future Embrace not actually a 6.4!!!

(Pictured below, from this year’s PLUG Awards:  Jayson Blair offers a few words of advice, Sylvester refuses to listen.)
